Ruaha Park is positioned just 10km away from Chogela Camp. Whether you are driving in yourself or hiring a safari car, it is an essential part of the Tanzanian experience. It is the largest National Park in Tanzania, and the second largest park in Africa. There you will see animals such as the elephant, lion, giraffe, impala, greater kudu, hyenas, buffalo and jackal. Keep your eye out for the rarer bat eared fox, leopard, cheetah, wild dog, sable antelope, roan antelope and lesser kudu. Cutural Tourism Programme
RUAHA CULTURAL TOURISM is located in three villages outside of Ruaha National Park in Iringa Region, Tanzania. The program focuses on village based tourism projects aimed to generate income for local community members and fund community development projects. Started in 2012 with Mahove Cultural Tours the program has expanded to now include Ikwavila Maasai Tours, Tungamalenga Village and Natural Tours, and Namelok Maasai Boma Tours. Night Game Drive
The night game drive is a perfect opportunity to see wildlife around the park at it's busiest, when the air is cooler and animals begin to roam and hunt. After an enjoyable dinner at the camp you will leave at 8pm and return at midnight. Your experienced driver will take you around the boarders of the park using spotlights to observe the movements of the game.
